Dr. Marc Tritel is a scientist turned intellectual property expert with deep experience at the intersection of biotechnology and patent law. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University and completed his Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Genetics at Weill Cornell Graduate School, where his research centered on intracellular HIV capsid assembly. He later pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in vaccine immunology at the NIH’s Vaccine Research Center, further strengthening his scientific foundation.

 

 Dr. Tritel’s career in patent law spans leading firms and innovative biotech companies. He began his legal career at Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer Baratz, followed by roles at Webb and Associates and JMB Davis Ben David. He went on to serve as Director of Intellectual Property at Pluri Biotech and subsequently as Vice President of Intellectual Property at 1E Therapeutics. Most recently, he contributed his expertise at the U.S. patent law firm Weiss & Arons, LLP.

 

Over the course of his career, Dr. Tritel has drafted hundreds of patent applications—primarily in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors—and has prosecuted thousands more across a broad spectrum of technologies. His work includes competitor IP surveillance, patentability and landscape analyses, and participation in European and Israeli oppositions. He has also played key roles in due diligence evaluations for emerging technologies and corporate transactions.
